At Kirkland Preschool, we
believe in being active participants in our community.
Every year the City of Kirkland sponsors Summerfest! with
the Kirkland Arts Center.
For one weekend in July, the Kirkland
waterfront is a flurry of activity with arts and crafts and summer
refreshments. Kirkland Preschool participates in Summerfest!
with a booth where children can play and create
their own art projects. It's staffed by our teachers and parent
volunteers: always a big hit!
Kirkland Preschool also
sponsors family art activities at the Norkirk Neighborhood Picnic in
August, as a way of thanking the community.
At the end of the school
year, Kirkland Preschool traditionally hosts an end-of-the-year
celebration, complete with s'mores, a campfire,
and a shoreline search for crustaceans and shells, for each of our
classes and their families.
