This
class is for 3's and younger 4's. A
major emphasis throughout the year is encouraging the children to develop
positive social skills and their self confidence. Teacher
Patrice and Teacher Kate enjoy sharing
their love of interactive math, science, language development and creative
movement with these lively and curious children. To see what we've been up to lately, check
out our curriculum guides.

an alternate payment schedule, please arrange with Carolyn. Tuition is $3,100 for the school year,
divided into 10 payments of $310, payable June and September through May. Checks may be payable to Kirkland Preschool
and deposited in the tuition basket above the children’s baskets. Some families prefer to keep post-dated
checks on file with the office. Others
use automated check mailing services. We
are also able to process VISA/MasterCard payments. Monthly
tuition will not be adjusted for days missed due to illness or family
vacations. (Please see the section under
“Withdrawal and Re-enrollment”.)
FAMILY HELPER DAYS:
All families take turns helping in their classrooms. Our program depends on 1 family helper each
day, during the 1st two hours of class (9:15-11:15). Everyone signs up for their helping days or
may be assigned days. If for some reason you cannot attend class
that day, please accept responsibility for contacting other parents in your
child’s class to arrange for a substitute.
Our curriculum depends on your participation and interaction with the
children on your scheduled day. Based on
12 children per class, each child’s family should count on 6 helping days
during the year, or about once every six weeks.
If a family does not meet its obligation, we may have to suggest a
different school. Most families find the
helping days to be fun and informative, since they are great opportunities to
observe your child, talk with your teachers, and get to better know your
child’s friends. Of course, we are an
open school, so parents are welcome at any time, any day.
EMERGENCY SCHEDULES:
When local news
indicates any chance of storm conditions - even if your area is clear - listen
for information on
In the rare event we decide the school
district is being too cautious (for example, if they anticipate a wind storm
which may or may not materialize), we attempt to call every affected household.
If possible, the school answering
machine will relay our current information.
If we miss more than 2 days, we will make up the time with additional
days, possibly during the mid-winter or spring break.
ALWAYS FEEL FREE TO CONTACT US IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS.
