SUMMER PLAY DATES
Let’s play! Join your friends on our school playground this summer. Our current, past and new school families can stop by school on 2 different Fridays this summer for a little outside fun. Children need to have a supervising adult with them, and you can come for just a portion or the whole 2 hours. This is designed as a way to continue friendships and for new families to become familiar with their school. It is also a thank you to our families who helped us acquire our new playground climbing structure (and for all the many other ways you have supported us.)
So put on your sunscreen, wear old clothes that can get dirty and wet, and maybe bring your lunch or at least a snack and drinks. The slides and climbers need the children’s energy, the sand box needs engineers to run water through our construction pipes, and the fence definitely needs “magic paint” brushed on. See you between 11:00 and 1:00 on Friday, July 13th and Friday, August 3rd.
PLEASE NOTE: THESE DATES HAVE BEEN CHANGED FROM THOSE MENTIONED ON REGISTRATION CONFIRMATION POSTCARDS.

SUMMER CAMPS - YES!
As you know, we are not putting on summer camps this year because AnneMarie will be rather busy expecting her baby. However, we have just entered an agreement with Creative Garden Preschool so THEY will offer summer sessions here at our campus during July and August.
Lissa is planning six
separate one-week sessions, a week being Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday, from
10:30-3:00. Please go to www.creativegardenpreschool.com

STAFFING CHANGES
Inquiring minds want to know --- “How is our search for a new teacher coming?” We were hoping to be a little further along with our search than we are, but this is a critical decision which shouldn’t be rushed. We are talking with candidates, and are impressed with their dedication and experience. We just aren’t quite at the “announcement” point yet. When we find that perfect person to teach with Jenni in the TTh and MWF classes, we will let everyone know.
We can announce that AnneMarie will not be disappearing after her little girl is born. Rather than being in a classroom, she will be Carolyn’s administrative assistant for the 2007-2008 school year. This way, we keep her involved, and she can still tend to Adriana. You may have noticed that Carolyn was a little distracted this year, helping her own daughter’s family juggle nursing school, a nursing job, and little ones going to their own schools. Needless to say, Carolyn welcomes AnneMarie’s help! Among other things, you definitely will see great improvements in everything involving Publisher!

WITH GRATITUDE!
Our Springtime in Paris Auction was a huge success, and once again we want to thank everyone for all the support and enthusiasm --- whether you could attend or not.
For the last month, new toys and equipment have been coming in, thanks to your generosity. We have new indoor gym equipment – a very sturdy new crawling tunnel and cave-like cubes, new dancing scarves, and a soon-to-arrive child’s bowling set. We have several new table toys as well, much to the delight of the children. And the teachers are delighted with our new Riccar Supralite vacuum. We purchased it from Quality Sewing & Vacuum on 100th NE, in north Juanita, in case you are looking for a new machine, yourself.
Best of all, we are getting a really cool “Double Humpty Climber” from the same company that made our large slide structure. Unfortunately, it’s such a popular company, our delivery and installation time isn’t until June, but once it arrives …!!! (Once it arrives, we will also get a new load of cushioning gravel to spread under everything, if anyone feels a desire to work on upper body strength by flinging gravel around…..)
For more information on the playset, please visit the company website: www.playlsi.com. Enter “Double Humpty Climber” in their “find” box.
