Carolyn’s  comments….

Welcome back to school in this New Year of 2010!  We are looking forward to more discoveries and learning with your children and with you.

A new year is time for reflection, anticipation, and gratitude.  We appreciate all your kind thoughts, words, and suggestions.  I’m sure everyone joins me in a special THANK YOU to Lindsay and Mo Lettvin who spent an afternoon replacing that tattered tent on our deck with the good-looking, non-holey new tent!  Just think—no more unexpected cascades of rainwater to dodge!

We are also grateful for a new individual to our school.  Kate Kiser is an intern from Lake Washington Technical Colleges’ Early Childhood program, and is joining us for several weeks.  She brings experience from earning her degree in psychology, running her own school several years ago, then raising her own children, and then returning to college to focus on Early Childhood Development.

Last, I strongly encourage you to read all the attached information regarding next fall’s classes.  If your child and/or siblings are joining us again, please ask questions, take a few minutes to observe any class, and get your paperwork in by Friday 1/15.  Thank you!
